Welcome to Charity!
In 1975, at the age of 5 years – Siddick Nuckcheddy was already conquered by the dual passions of drawing and painting. Today, he is internationally recognized with a portfolio of impressive solo and group exhibitions. Most of his works bear a trace of home-grown roots and Mauritian nostalgia.
As a Mauritian pastel paint artist, Siddick has achieved membership in numerous and exclusive artistic circles, including l’Art du Pastel en France, the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada, the Pastel Society of Spain, and the Pastel Society of Taiwan. His works have reached other shores, forming part of private collections in the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Croatia, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, and more.
Siddick has been awarded for his outstanding pastel works on many occasions, most notably, Grand Prize at the 2018 International Pastel Biennial, France; Best Prize on two occasions at Les Pastellistes, Montreal, Canada (2015, 2014); and 1st Prizes for best talent at La Société des Pastellistes, France (2014), the International Pastel Exhibition, Giverny, France (2010) and the annual international pastel exhibition in Montreal, Canada (2016). He is among the members of the jury for the pastel annual show in Giverny and Montreal.
In 2012, Siddick received Honourable Mention as Master Pastelliste from l’Art du Pastel en France – where he was also Guest of Honour for that year’s event, and from the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada.
