Hong Kong October 2018 | The Sovereign Art Foundation is delighted to announce the winners of the Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize, Hong Kong 2018.
A judging panel of art professionals, including Angela Li, Founder of Contemporary by Angela Li Gallery; Dominique Chan, formerly Head of
Gallery and Exhibitions at Asia Society Hong Kong Center; Gary Mok, a Hong Kong and Beijing-based artist and curator; Howard Bilton, Chairman and Founder of The Sovereign Art Foundation; and Magnus Renfrew of ARTHQ and Taipei Dangdai shortlisted the two winners from the work of 20 talented finalists. The finalists’ works were showcased at HART Haus, a new and modern ‘arthouse’ located in Kennedy Town and dedicated to the creation process and realisation of art installations and projects in Hong Kong.
The winners were announced at a prize-giving ceremony at HART Haus on 20 October. The winning students and their schools were awarded cash prizes.
