Deputy Director, Education, National Gallery Singapore
Ye Shufang leads the education direction at the Gallery, developing creative learning programmes for families, students and educators. She heads the Keppel Centre for Art Education which won the International Children in Museums Award 2018, awarded by Hands On! International Association and European Museum Academy for innovative art education for younger audiences.
As an artist, Shufang’s works have been exhibited in solo and curated exhibitions in Asia and Europe, including Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Australia, Sweden and Venice.
Prior to joining the Gallery, Shufang served as Head, Visual Arts Faculty (School of the Arts, SOTA) and as Programme Leader for BA and MA Programmes, Faculty of Fine Arts (LASALLE College of the Arts).
Shufang’s article ‘Junior Roundtable: Children talk about art in Singapore’ can be found in New Museum Practice in Asia, published by Lund Humphries 2018. Most recently, Shufang presented at the International Seoul Art Education Week and Hands On! Conference in Frankfurt in 2019.
Shufang continues to serve on National Art Council’s Annual Grants and Scholarship Assessments Panel and advisory committees with Nanyang Academy of Fine Art and LASALLE College.
