START is a non-profit organisation running art workshops for refugees, orphans and children with special needs across the Middle East and India. Its mission is to heal and educate children who have suffered with war, pain and loss.
START runs over 55 workshops for over 1,500 underprivileged children every week. Its workshops give children the opportunity to express themselves, engage with others and develop a feeling of self worth . START offers programmes that link child development with arts education.
Where: START runs workshops in Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, India and the UAE, working in refugee camps, orphanages and special needs centers.
START programmes facilitate:
- Art education for children who are culturally or socio-economically disadvantaged.
- Partnerships between global entrepreneurs and gifted children without resources or opportunities.
- Consultation with policy makers to promote art as a catalyst for educational, social and life-long change.
