Held at Agate, M+ Museum, in the heart of Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, the 2026 Sovereign Asian Art Prize Gala Dinner celebrated the 22nd edition of Asia’s most prestigious contemporary art prize.

The Prize champions exceptional artists from across the region through international exposure and substantial financial awards, while raising vital funds for the Make It Better (MIB) programme.

More than 300 guests gathered for the occasion, with some making a memorable arrival aboard the iconic Aqua Luna before attending a champagne reception at the Phillips Asia Headquarters.

Led by Jonathan Crockett, Chairman of Asia at Phillips Auction House, the auction featured ten exceptional artworks alongside a selection of experiential lots. Spirited bidding from collectors and supporters made for one of the most anticipated moments of the night.

The night’s final highlight was the announcement of the 2026 Sovereign Asian Art Prize winners. Citra Sasmita (Indonesia) was awarded the Grand Prize, while Nomin Zezegmaa (Mongolia) received the Vogue Hong Kong Women’s Art Prize and Joey Cobcobo (Philippines) won the Public Vote Prize.
