We are thrilled to feature the winners of The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prizes in Mauritius and Malta for 2022. Starting of with Mauritius, our congratulations go out to Ekesh Beeput who takes home the Judges Prize for his artwork entitled A colourful fish pond. As the Judges Prize winner, Beeput received Rs8,000 for himself and Rs15,000 for his school, DAV College Morcellement St Andre.
We are also pleased to announce that Yeshna Cooberhising is this year’s Public Vote Prize winner. According to the artist, “this picture radiates a mother and daughter’s delight as the mother introduces her daughter to the marvels of nature… the scene exudes the happiness of a mother and daughter’s time together and their real, strong and pure bond of true unconditional love for a lifetime.” As the Public Vote Prize winner, Cooberhising received Rs6,000 for herself and Rs10,000 for her school, Pamplemousses SSS.
