Welcome to Charity!
Tessa Wirz Obermeister
Growing up in a family of artists, actors, musicians and singers, I was exposed from an early age to the power of ideas and creativity in many different forms, through painting, poetry, jazz, politics and pychology. These influences, together with my sensitivity and deep love of nature, have shaped my career, my art and the way I see the world.
I first went to Film School in Paris, Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français, where I trained as an editor. I then worked in film for 10 years as an editor, producer and documentary director, where I was fortunate to work with talents such as Jean-Paul Goude, Jean-Baptiste Mondino and Etienne Chatillez.
I then moved to London, where I studied and painted at 2 arts schools, Kensington and Chelsea College and the Hampstead School of Art. Since then I have developed my skills as a colourist, working mainly in acrylic and pastels – living and exhibiting between London, Aix-en-Provence and now Portugal, where I have been painting at the Sociedade de Belas Artes tutored by Jaime Silva.
In parallel with developing my skills as painter, I also trained as a naturopath, and I have worked both as an artist and a therapist for the last 20 years.
