Welcome to Charity!

The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize was established in Malta and Gozo in 2017 and seeks to inspire and reward young artists in the community. It aims to encourage cultural development and celebrate the importance of art in the education system by recognising the quality of artwork that can be produced by talented, young students.

Entrants must be enrolled at either secondary or post-secondary institutions and be seventeen or under at the time of entry.

All submitted artworks are viewed online by a judging panel of local art professionals, who shortlist 20 Finalists. The top 20 Finalists’ works are exhibited, and the judges attend for a second round of voting, in person, to select their winner. In parallel, the public are invited to vote on their favourite piece (online and at the exhibition). The following prizes are awarded to the winning artists and their schools:

  • Judges’ Prize Winner
  • Public Prize Winner
  • Public Prize Runner-up
